While working on the first Octodad, I was a bit overwhelmed trying to get the game done and keep up with my school work. MLP was a bit of a break to the insanity of constant work. Since all I had in my brain was pony and Octodad, it was only a matter of time before I drew them together.
But, you are right, pony has been crossed with just about everything under the sun now, even when they probably don't need to be. It is interesting how this fandom has decided to do this and I can't think of another fandom that has done the same. I wonder why that is.
Yup, some of the team and I have since graduated and started a game studio. It is still early on in development so it won't be coming out for awhile (at least a year) but we are already hard at work making it.
Sure thing. Glad you liked the game. In order for the team to quit their part time jobs and work on making games full time, we need to make some money. The sequel will only cost $10 though and will be of a much higher level of polish than the first game.
Haha, or perhaps Octodad makes a visit to Equestria where he must convince everyone he is a a real pony. Apple Bucking? Winter Wrap up? Coordinating two tentacles to walk around is hard enough, imagine trying to control four.
